Theresa can pretty much do it all. She is extremely capable in the back office and is exceptional when helping patients select frames and lenses.
Holly has previously worked as a legal secretary, but changed careers during the economic downturn. It is our great fortune she chose to join our eye care team in early 2011. Holly is efficient at the front desk/reception area, greeting answering patient's various questions dealing with our exam costs, insurances, and various other inquiries. Under the tutelage of our other trained staff, Holly has excelled in her capabilities as an optometric assistant. She is proficient in the technician's room, assisting with patient's exams, as well as the optical area helping patients with the frame selection and the fitting process. As an indication of Holly's dedication and work ethic, within her first 6 months she completed online courses for optical dispensing, accomplishing the majority of this on her own time. She continues to amaze our staff with her growing proficiency in optical repairs and adjustments. She's an all-around asset to our practice.
Janet has had over 15 years of experience in the optical industry. In 2009, she studied for and passed the ABOC, a national certification for opticians, making her one of the few opticians in St. George to have passed the ABOC. She began her career in the optical field when her optometrist in Nebraska called to offer her a job in his office. Two years later when her husband accepted a new position in California, she became office manager in an optical office in Crescent City. She later began working for an optometrist in Upland, CA, where she stayed for over 9 years. Although she moved to St. George in 2006 when her husband transferred within his company, patients continue to ask for her at her previous employment. Janet enjoys all aspects of optical including helping patients look their best through knowledgeable and tactful frame selection as well ensuring proper fit and comfort through precise frame adjustments. Shonee graduated with a bachelor degree in Health and Wellness in 2012, with an emphasis in nutrition. She became interested in the optometric field after her husband joined the profession. Shonee originally started working for a national eye care chain where she learned the skills of eye wear adjusting, frame selection and assisting with patient exams. Recently, she joined the Paradise Canyon Eye Care team where she is enthusiastic to help Southern Utah patients find the perfect eye wear for all of their daily activities.
